General Production Worker Job Description This General Production Worker role focuses on supporting the full production process of frozen pizzas in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will start with foundational tasks such as patting down pepperoni or grating cheese and progressively learn every position and rotation on the production line. The role requires strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality while assembling pizzas, adding ingredients, and performing visual quality checks. Responsibilities Perform a variety of production tasks, including patting down pepperoni and grating cheese as part of the pizza assembly process. Assemble pizzas by adding appropriate ingredients in the correct order and quantity according to production specifications. Rotate through multiple positions on the production line to learn and perform every job involved in pizza production. Inspect products during and after assembly to ensure they meet established quality and food safety standards. Operate basic production and packaging equipment and use hand tools safely and correctly as required. Follow all food handling and food safety procedures, including proper use of protective equipment and sanitation practices. Package finished products accurately and efficiently to meet production targets and maintain workflow. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-structured work area throughout the shift. Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and support a smooth, continuous operation. Adhere to all workplace policies, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures Essential Skills Experience in food production or food manufacturing environments, including handling and assembling food products. Position in general production or general labor work, preferably on a manufacturing or assembly line. Ability to assemble pizzas, add ingredients accurately, and follow standardized recipes and procedures. Strong attention to detail and focus on product quality during assembly and packaging. Understanding of basic food safety and food handling practices in a production setting. Capability to operate basic machinery and equipment used in food production and packaging. Comfort with using hand tools and performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in the food industry, particularly in frozen or prepared foods, is beneficial. Familiarity with machine operation in a manufacturing or packaging environment is an advantage. Ability to learn multiple positions and rotations on the production line and adapt to changing tasks. Willingness to follow strict hygiene and safety protocols, including wearing required protective attire. The work is performed on 1st and 2nd shift, from 7am-5;30Pm and 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, following a 4x10 schedule. The environment involves standing for extended periods, working on a production line, and operating basic machinery and hand tools. Strict food safety and hygiene standards apply, and employees wear protective attire such as hair nets, gowns, gloves, and other necessary gear to maintain cleanliness Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Princeton, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
