GENERAL SUMMARY
Operation of various equipment, and responsible for helping in the production of parts in a safe manner following the routing described and the specifications required by the blueprint.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
. Assist operators with setup and production. . Report labor and job data accurately. . Maintain quality, safety and efficiency. . Maintain clean and neat work area. . Perform other jobs within the department or plant as required by supervision.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION :
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.WORK EXPERIENCE
: Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.SKILLS :
A good command of the English language is required, both written and spoken. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Ability to read and understand route sheets and blueprints and check parts to print.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to physically perform essential functions of the job. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 24 lbs., frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs. Typically requires standing on a regular basis and walking, stooping, crouching and kneeling occasionally. Must be able to handle parts for inspection, stack parts and move parts to next operation and/or workstation. Specific vision requirements include depth perception and peripheral vision.WORKING CONDITIONS
Operation of various equipment is required. Regularly exposed to noise. Typically requires the use of a forklift and hoist. Hearing protection, safety glasses and steel-toed shoes with metatarsal protection are required.
