Hurtt Fabricating is looking for a dependable, mechanically minded person who is ready to take on more responsibility and help lead a production team. You do not need to be an experienced supervisor. If you have solid manufacturing or fabrication experience, know how to work safely around production equipment, and are someone coworkers already look to for help and direction, we want to talk to you. This is a working lead position , not a desk job. You will work alongside the team while helping the Plant Supervisor coordinate work, train employees, solve production problems, and keep jobs moving through the shop. What You'll Do Work alongside employees in our Cut, Prep, and Finish areas. Help coordinate daily jobs and production priorities. Help train and guide employees. Set a good example for safety, quality, attendance, and productivity. Operate manufacturing equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes. Assist with material movement and job setup. Identify production problems and help find solutions. Communicate equipment, quality, material, and scheduling issues to the Plant Supervisor. Work with Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to keep production moving. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. You should have:

Manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or similar industrial experience. Hands-on experience operating production equipment. Good mechanical aptitude. The ability and willingness to learn different machines and processes. A dependable work history and good attendance. The ability to communicate and work well with others. A safety-first attitude. The ability to solve problems and make good decisions on the shop floor. Helpful, but not required: Previous lead or supervisory experience. Experience reading fabrication or shop drawings. Familiarity with welding symbols. Forklift or overhead crane experience. Why Hurtt Fabricating?
