Help us blend and package our tea products from start to finish. Reports to:

Production Manager Liaises with: Additional Production Assistants A Production Assistant is expected to:

• Thoughtfully blend, produce and package award winning tea in a variety of packaging styles, working a small team, often in an assembly line fashion
• Fill and ship tea orders as needed
• Commit to a regular full time 32-40 hour per week schedule, 9am-5pm
• Exhibit high attention to detail.

This includes:

○ Performing repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently (packaging tea, etc.) ○ Navigating various measurement systems. ○ Filling orders with the correct blend/packaging style.

• Maintain recommended hygienic practices for safe food preparation and handling (you will receive training).

This includes:

○ Rigorously following the sanitization and safe food handling guidelines. ○ Adhering to CDC recommendations regarding healthy working environments.

• Be reliable, on time, and ready to work for every shift.
• Communicate proactively and effectively about schedules and tasks.
• Have the ability to reach items at ground level and overhead, and to push, pull, and/or lift up to 40 pounds.

Ideal candidates have:

• Experience working in a commercial kitchen and/or a food manufacturing facility
• ServSafe Certification This is a manufacturing position, and you will be working in environments that are often noisy due to machinery and you will be operating specialized tea-making equipment.

PPE will be required for your safety and for food safety practices. Tasks are often repetitive and include things like counting tea sachets, packaging tea into retail packaging, lifting and storing herbs and botanicals, palletizing herbs and teas for shipment, receiving and unloading new raw materials, counting and weighing items accurately, etc. It is a physical job.
