WE EMPLOY A VARIETY OF CAREER POSITIONS INCLUDING INSIDE SALES, OUTSIDE SALES, CDL DRIVERS, FORKLIFT OPERATORS, PRODUCTION LINE OPERATORS AND GENERAL LABORERS. JOB PURPOSE

Assist Production operators by performing a wide variety of labor-intensive tasks. Operating hours Monday through Friday. Morning shift. Flexibility for weekend shifts as needed.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Learn and use correctly the appropriate sorting and stacking pattern for each product. 2. Learn concrete product sizes, shapes, types and colors. 3. Operate machinery under immediate direction. 4. Use hand tools such as brooms, shovels and hoes in an efficient manner to expedite cleaning and waste removal. 5. Perform essential functions and duties at conveyor pace set by Block Machine. 6. Understand and follow directions in English as required by safety and job.

MINIMUM JOB SKILL REQUIREMENTS

1. Lift concrete products and other objects weighing up to 60 pounds each. 2. Withstand repetitive motion of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. 3. Function in workplace environmental conditions including, but not limited to, cold, heat, bright sun, noise, and nuisance dusts. 4. Provide assistance to others in moving heavier or bulky objects. 5. Endure continuous standing and walking. 6. Endure intermittent climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing and pulling. 7. Able to work shifts. 8. Have good hearing for safety reasons.

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Lift concrete products and other objects weighing up to 70 pounds each at heights from floor level to four feet high. 2. Withstand continuous standing, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and stooping. 3. Provide assistance to others in moving heavier or bulky objects. 4. Withstand repetitive motion of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. 5. Function in workplace environmental conditions including, but not limited to, cold, heat, bright sun, noise, and nuisance dusts. 6. Able to work shifts. 7. Have good hearing for safety reasons. 8. Have good peripheral vision and depth perception.

SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES FOR GENERAL LABORER

1. Carefully follow noise, dust and other environmental safety procedures. 2. Follow lifting and back safety guidelines while handling concrete products and wooden pallets. 3. Use proper safety guidelines for repetitive motion tasks. Do not clear jams without stopping machinery or without using a tool. 4. Never use a hand or foot to clear jams while machinery is running. 5. Carefully follow Lockout/Tagout policy when assisting with maintenance or cleaning of machinery. Never enter a mixer without key to lock for power source in your pocket. 6.

Production Helper must wear:

safety helmet, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, safety shoes, and personal protective equipment associated with other tasks performed in block manufacturing.
