Job Description

Dixon Bros., Inc. Grand Forks, North Dakota is looking for a Class A CDL driver who is willing to split his duties between delivering refined fuel or caustic to our customers and transloading caustic from railcars to a semi tanker. Refined fuels and/or caustic loads are generally delivered to our customers located in Grand Forks, North Dakota and within a 250-mile radius of Grand Forks. This means that drivers will be home nightly. Deliveries may be to a storage facility or to a customer's retail location, depending upon the dispatch schedule, drivers may be making deliveries to several locations during their shift. The transload facility is located in Grand Forks, ND. The job entails transloading caustic from rail cars to semi-trucks. Candidates need to be able to operate a dozer to move railcars into position to offload caustic into our trailers. Candidates will be need to be able to operate the steamer to warm up the railcars and product in the winter months. Training will be provided. Experience with operating heavy equipment a plus. The Applicants need to live in or near Grand Forks, North Dakota or be willing to relocate to Grand Forks, North Dakota Responsibilities and Duties
  • Products you will be hauling include refined fuels and/or caustic
  • You must be capable of pulling hoses, coupling hoses, loading and unloading the products and stowing the hoses and equipment
  • You must be capable of climbing in and out of your truck up to several times per day
  • Drivers are responsible for loading the various compartments on a tanker with the proper product
  • Drivers are responsible for delivering the load to the customer and ensuring the transfer is completed correctly
  • Drivers are responsible for accurately completing and ensuring all paperwork is turned in after their shift is completed
  • Transloading caustic from rail cars to semi-trailer.
  • Steaming rail cars to ensure product flows from rail car to semi-trailer
  • Paid Training is provided for the following:
  • Operation of the valves, pumps and hoses to safely deliver the various products these trailers are capable of hauling.
  • Load and unload the various products and types of trailers at both manned and unmanned locations.
  • Transloading from rail cars to semi-trailers
  • Steaming rail cars
  • You will be trained on Dixon Bros., Inc. driving policies and procedures
  • Trucks are equipped with ELD's, training provided in the use of these systems Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum age 23
  • 2 years verifiable truck driving experience is required
  • Valid Class A CDL is required
  • Hazmat endorsement on CDL
  • No previous driving record involving consumption of illegal or intoxicating substances in the past 5 years
  • Not involved in a major preventable accident in the past 3 years
  • No more than two highway convictions in the past 3 years
