09/2026 Position Summary The Wall Panel Builder is responsible for assembling wall panels according to engineered drawings, production specifications, and company quality standards. MUST have prior experience framing. This is a hands-on production position requiring attention to detail, dependability, safe work practices, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a manufacturing team. The Wall Panel Builder is expected to maintain quality and productivity standards while safely operating tools and equipment used in wall panel production. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assemble wall panels according to engineered drawings, layouts, and company quality standards. Read and interpret construction drawings, measurements, and production information. Measure, position, and assemble lumber and other materials accurately. Operate nail guns, saws, presses, and other production tools and equipment safely. Inspect work throughout the building process to ensure panels meet required specifications and quality standards. Identify and report drawing discrepancies, material shortages, damaged materials, equipment problems, or production concerns to the supervisor or management. Stage and organize materials needed for wall panel production. Maintain an organized and clean work area. Assist with moving, stacking, loading, and unloading materials and completed wall panels as needed. Follow established production procedures and complete assigned work within production schedules. Work cooperatively with other production employees to maintain efficient workflow. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and required work practices. Properly use and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE). Perform other duties as assigned. Safety Responsibilities Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable OSHA requirements. Wear required PPE and use tools and equipment only as trained and authorized. Never bypass, remove, disable, reach around, or otherwise defeat machine guards or safety devices. Shut down equipment and follow required procedures before attempting to clear jams, remove stuck materials, make adjustments, or perform other work that could expose the employee to moving equipment or hazardous energy. Recognize unsafe conditions and stop work when necessary to prevent injury. Immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, missing or damaged guards, and other safety concerns to a supervisor or management. Promptly report all injuries, incidents, and near misses. Participate in required safety meetings, stretch and flex activities, and ongoing safety training. Maintain awareness of surroundings and coworkers when operating equipment or handling materials. Competencies Knowledge of construction, framing, manufacturing, or wall panel production methods. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and layouts. Ability to accurately measure and work with dimensional lumber and other building materials. Ability to safely use production tools and equipment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow instructions and established production procedures. Strong attention to detail and quality. Dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Minimum Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be dependable with a strong attendance history. Construction, framing, manufacturing, or wall panel production experience preferred. Experience reading construction drawings or layouts preferred. Forklift experience preferred. Work Environment / Physical Activity Work is performed within a manufacturing/shop environment subject to temperature variations, dust, noise, and moving mechanical equipment. Must be able to frequently lift and carry 35-60 pounds and occasionally up to 90 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and material handling are required throughout the workday. Must be able to safely operate equipment and work around moving machinery while following all required safety procedures. Repetitive motion and material handling are required; safe body mechanics must be used at all times.
