    Production Associate
  • Job Description
  • The Production Associate plays a vital role in packaging and preparing hay and hay-based products for shipment. In this position, you ensure products meet quality and weight standards, operate production and packaging equipment safely, and contribute to a safe, efficient, and positive team environment.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Package hay-based products to meet defined quality and weight specifications.
+ Operate packaging and production line equipment safely and efficiently. + Follow all safety and food safety protocols at all times. + Maintain production rates and support meeting daily and weekly output goals. + Assist with production line changes, setups, and adjustments as needed. + Communicate equipment issues and irregularities to supervisors promptly. + Support general production tasks such as loading, picking, packing, and assembly line work. + Perform basic troubleshooting and machine setup activities within defined guidelines. + Use forklifts or pallet jacks, if qualified, to move materials and finished products. + Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility standards.
  • Essential Skills
  • + 3+ years of experience as a general production worker or in a similar production environment.
+ 2+ years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing or production setting. + Hands-on experience with production lines, packaging, and general labor tasks. + Ability to lift up to 65 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs for bulk products, including overhead lifting. + Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. + Comfort working in dusty environments and around hay-based materials. + Ability to read and follow instructions in English accurately. + Mechanical aptitude to operate and assist with basic setup and adjustment of machinery. + Strong attention to detail to ensure products meet quality and weight specifications. + Commitment to following safety and food safety protocols consistently.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Previous production or warehouse experience is preferred. + Experience with forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus. + Troubleshooting experience with basic production or packaging equipment is advantageous. + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. + Willingness to support continuous improvement and collaborate with team members.

  • Work Environment
  • This role is based in a fast-paced, team-oriented production facility focused on hay and hay-based products.
You will work around hay, dust, and varying temperatures, with a strong emphasis on safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The typical schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM, with Fridays worked as needed. Supportive leadership fosters open communication and respects employee input. Appropriate work clothes and personal protective equipment are expected in line with standard production facility practices.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $18.34 - $19.34/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
