Production Operator

Production Operator Job Description Job Overview Production Operators are primarily tasked with setting up and operating equipment to produce juice products, fill bottles. They are responsible for following correct operating procedures for food safety and product formulation, monitoring quality all the way through final bottling and case packing of products, and for sanitation of the equipment and processing area. Production Operators are part of a team of employees and will sometimes fulfill other tasks as needed. This position will report to work in Albuquerque at the food manufacturing facility near Balloon Fiesta Park. A minimum of 1-year of previous food manufacturing experience is preferred.

Tasks:

• Record production and test data for each product batch.
• Follow procedures to produce goods to product specifications.
• Set up, operate, tend, break down and sanitize equipment used to manufacture and bottle juice and other products.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot production slow downs
• Inspect and pack the final product.
• Sanitize work environment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
• Transport packaging materials from warehouse or finished goods to storage areas.
• May also select and measure or weigh ingredients, assist in the removal of food waste.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read, write and speak English; bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Flexibility of schedule to work different shifts and/or potential longer shift hours or overtime as needed
• Ability to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds
• Ability work under special work conditions such as extreme heat or cold

Status:

Hourly, Full Time (40 hours/week)

Compensation:

$15.00-$18.00, negotiable for highly qualified candidates
