Job Description
Overview:
Join Hand Precision Machining, Inc., a company specializing in precision prototype machining and short run productions. We are seeking a dedicated Production Specialist to join our team in Los Alamos, New Mexico. As a Production Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our machine shop , contributing to the fabrication and assembly processes.Responsibilities:
This job will be split with about half time focused on administrative and computer based tasks and the other half focused on hands on work with material and parts. A production specialist will support our team of machinists by assisting pre-production to manage jobs in our database, organizing and prepping material and cutting stock. Our production specialist will also assist post-production with cleaning and deburring parts, packaging/shipping and completing work in our database to close out jobs.- Use our (ERP) system to track jobs awarded to our company
- Keep paperwork organized and up to date on all jobs
- Manage material shipments and organize materials efficiently
- Collaborate with other employees to streamline processes and meet deadlines
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines
- Clean and deburr parts that have been machined
- Utilize a variety of tools, especially saws to cut stock and ready material for machinists
- Assist machinists, welder and inspectors as needed
- Complete basic machine maintenance Skills/experience desired:
- Competency in using a computer to manage data
- Self directed with ability to work independently once trained in tasks
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other similar equipment
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Forklift certification is desirable but not mandatory.

Full-time Pay:
$18.00- $23.
