After the initial training period, you will be part of a small team that facilitates the entire production process alongside the company founders and fellow jam-makers in a small-batch commercial kitchen environment. Production teamwork involves product preparation, following process formulations, cooking, packaging, record-keeping and cleaning in accordance with Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), Safe Quality Food (SQF), and HACCP principles. Experience You do not need to arrive knowing how to make jam. We will teach you our processes. What matters is bringing the work ethic, professionalism and willingness to learn to become very good at managing the quality steps necessary to create delicious fruit spreads every day. If you have previous experience working professionally with food or beverages, please highlight it in your application. It can be a great foundation for this position, especially experience working in restaurants, bakeries, commercial kitchens, university or school dining, hospital food service, catering, food or beverage production, breweries, farming, canning, cooking, manufacturing or other hands-on environments. Experience with batch or volume cooking, following standardized recipes or formulations, food safety and sanitation, is especially helpful to get through the training period quickly. What We're Looking For Reliable Detail-oriented Positive and encouraging to others Able to lift 30-50 pounds repeatedly Able to stand for extended periods of time Able to work cooperatively as part of a small team Willing to learn and take on increasing responsibility Able to take initiative and identify tasks that need to be completed Committed to cleanliness and food safety We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing quality work, enjoys working with their hands, and is looking for a long-term opportunity rather than simply their next job.
