Overview :

The Manufacturing Assistant is responsible for assisting in the formulation, packaging, and labeling of approved adult-use cannabis products. With a keen focus on maintaining cleanliness, the Manufacturing Assistant adheres to the company's standard operating procedures and quality control measures, ensuring the consistent production of high-quality products. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the packaging, labeling, and preparation of finished products for distribution.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties :

Manufacturing and Packaging:

Operate and maintain manufacturing and packaging equipment efficiently and effectively, always looking to maximize output. Ensure all products are manufactured and packaged in strict accordance with state and federal regulations.

Quality Control:

Conduct regular quality control checks on products to uphold standards of consistency and safety.

Records Management:

Maintain detailed and accurate records of production and packaging processes.

Collaboration and Efficiency:

Collaborate with fellow team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and enhanced efficiency in production.

Equipment Maintenance and Sanitization:

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and facilities to ensure operational integrity. Sanitize all production equipment, tools, workspace, utensils, containers, cookware, and machinery.

Regulatory Compliance:

Understand and follow procedures, methodologies, and compliance steps for the meticulous tracking of hemp-cannabis products from seed to sale. Accurately calibrate scales and balances to guarantee precise measurement of hemp-cannabis products.

Personal Hygiene and Safety:

Ensure personal hygiene meets standards before engaging in production activities by observing protocols such as handwashing, wearing hair nets, and other personal protective equipment.

Batch Production and Documentation:

Assist in the creation of batch production records and labels, ensuring alignment with state regulations. Contribute to weighing, packaging, labeling, and documentation of all products. Thoroughly track batch numbers, lot numbers, and expiration dates.

Compliance and Accuracy:

Ensure accuracy and thorough documentation in accordance with state regulations and company standard operating procedures.

High School Diploma or equivalent required 3 years working in a team environment. 1 year of working in a manufacturing environment preferred Ability to read and interpret documents such as standard operating procedures, employee handbooks and other company documents. Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work within the company's strategic approach as designed by management. Ability to stand dynamically for long periods without a break. Ability to twist the upper torso, lift 20 to 50 pounds and carry a distance of one hundred feet. Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid State ID. Must have access to reliable personal transportation.
