Role Description The Prepress / Digital Production Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Rochester, NY. This position is responsible for preparing customer files for print production, including preflighting, correcting layout issues, and ensuring all artwork meets press and digital output specifications. Daily tasks include working with print designs, setting up jobs for offset and digital presses, reviewing proofs, and troubleshooting file or color issues before production. The specialist collaborates with account and production teams to clarify job requirements, maintain quality standards, and meet deadlines across a range of projects from business cards to large-format engineering prints. The role also involves organizing digital assets, adhering to workflow procedures, and maintaining equipment settings to ensure consistent, accurate output. Qualifications Strong pre-press and preflight skills, including preparing, reviewing, and correcting files for print. Experience with printing processes and print design, including layout, color management, and output setup. Knowledge of packaging design and related production requirements is beneficial. Proficiency with industry-standard graphic and layout software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, PDF tools). Attention to detail, ability to follow technical specifications, and strong organizational skills. Ability to work on-site in a production environment, manage multiple jobs, and meet deadlines. Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and interpreting client instructions. Previous experience in a print shop, prepress department, or related production setting preferred. Pay range for this position is $20.00 to $ 25.00 per hour based on experience.
