Small Parts Fabricator GMM Pfaudler US Inc is a leading supplier of highly engineered glass-lined critical equipment and process systems for global energy, chemical and industrial markets. Summary:
Responsible for fitting, repairing and fabrication various types of metals to build vessels and vessel accessories.
Description of Job:
Run grinding equipment and dye check parts for weld defects. Perform touch-up, and blast parts for enamel coating. Prepare parts for fit up using knibbler and bug torch. Read blueprints, operate bandsaw, and assume the duties of lift truck/stacker operator in the parts accessories group. Run spinners to make shafts or furnace press to form parts using proper fixtures. Run cover trimmer and drill presses. Fit and tack various jobs using layout tools, cutting torches and applicable fixtures. All functions including grinding, small head layout, nozzle swage and trim as required for single operator completion of vessels.
Required Testing:
Basic Math, radial and circumference, layout and welding questions. Calculator may be used. Must also pass a code weld test.
Qualifications:
Three to five years of manufacturing welding experience using 2G & 3G open root TIG and core wire along with Pulse MIG. Must pass horizontal and vertical welding tests. Machining background is a plus. Ability to receive and follow instructions as well as effectively communicate with management and co-workers. Must possess good match, blueprint and layout skills. Ability to solve production and quality problems with little supervision. Work in a safe manner and abide by safety policies.
