Position Overview:
The Cigarette Factory Production Line Worker is responsible for performing various tasks on the production line to ensure the efficient and safe manufacturing of cigarettes. This role involves operating machinery, handling raw materials, and maintaining quality standards throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Machinery:
Assist Operator with production machines to ensure smooth and efficient operation. Load tobacco and other materials into machines according to specifications.
Material Handling:
Handle and transport raw materials, such as tobacco, paper, and filters, to and from the production line. Ensure materials are available and prepared for production, minimizing downtime.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring that all cigarettes meet quality standards. Perform regular quality checks throughout the production process, documenting and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
Maintenance and Cleaning:
Perform routine maintenance on production equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation. Clean and sanitize production areas and machinery according to company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with other production line workers, supervisors, and quality control personnel to ensure a cohesive and efficient production process. Communicate any production issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred, especially in tobacco or related industries. High school diploma or equivalent is required . Basic mechanical skills and the ability to operate production machinery. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets. Good communication and teamwork skills. Basic understanding of safety regulations and practices.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.), and perform repetitive tasks. Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to tobacco and other production-related materials.
