Digital Production & Design Specialist 1 Gerber Wood Products creates customized wood components such as stair treads, trim, molding, furniture & architectural components for homes and businesses both domestic and global manufacturers and distributors. They also specialize in crafting personalized wood gifts and home decor. Products are built using a variety of equipment such as molders, saws, sanders, finger jointer, glue system, and CNC machines. Digital Production & Design Specialist 1 is an entry-level position responsible for operating assigned digital laser and printing equipment, preparing and modifying customer artwork, and supporting the production process through quoting and packaging. This position requires the ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and ensure products and customer proofs meet quality and job specificationsDuties and Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain assigned digital laser and printing equipment. Prepare files and materials for digital printing and laser production. Create customer proofs and make basic changes to artwork and print files as needed. Review artwork, proofs, and production files for accuracy before production. Assist with preparing quotes for department projects and customer requests. Package finished products according to job and customer requirements. Perform quality control checks throughout the production and packaging process. Monitor equipment and report maintenance or operational concerns to supervisors. Keep work areas and digital files clean, organized, and properly maintained. Assist with general production tasks as needed. Follow all safety protocols and procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent experience. Previous experience with graphic design, digital printing, laser equipment, or manufacturing is preferred. Familiarity with CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar design software and the ability to learn and use required production software. Basic understanding of quoting or estimating is preferredSkills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Good graphic design skills and the ability to create and modify customer proofs. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors before production. Ability to multitask and manage several jobs at different stages of completion. Good communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed. Ability to maintain quality and accuracy while meeting production and customer requirements.Environment and Physical Working Conditions:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25-50 lbs frequently. Work also requires the ability to regularly reach, pull, stoop, bend, and perform repetitive motions. Exposure to fumes, odors, and loud noise—must wear safety gear including eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes, and a respirator when necessary. Work indoors in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise, temperature, and moisture fluctuations.Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:
