Pro duction Extrusion Operator - HBD / Thermoid -
Bellefontaine, OH Pay & Incentives Base Pay:
$20.50 per hour
Shift Differential:
+$1.50/hour
Perfect Attendance Bonus:
$75weekly Monthly production bonus: Up to an additional $200 a month based on plant performance Scheduled incremental increases Position Summary Thermoid has a strong legacy of supplying high-quality, reliable rubber products to the industrial marketplace and is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Production Team Members to support our manufacturing operations in Bellefontaine, Ohio. As a Hose Extrusion Operator, you will help manufacture industrial rubber hose by operating production equipment, monitoring product quality, and ensuring production goals are met. This role involves working with machinery, performing quality checks, handling materials, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. No prior extrusion experience is required; we provide on-the-job training for motivated individuals who are dependable and eager to learn. This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor. What You'll Do Operate and monitor hose extrusion machinery Load raw materials and rubber compounds into equipment Follow all Safety, Quality, and Productivity standards at all times Perform work in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Use basic math skills to accurately record and report production data Utilize equipment and hand tools accurately Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Properly use and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) Work collaboratively as part of a team-focused manufacturing environment Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality Physical & Work Requirements Ability to perform medium-duty work, including: Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally Lifting 25 lbs. frequently Lifting 10 lbs. continuously Stand and remain active for extended periods Push, pull, and handle materials throughout the shift Work in anon-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment
Qualifications Required:
Ability to read, write, and follow instructions Basic math and problem-solving skills Strong reliability and work ethic Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends
Preferred:
High school diploma or equivalent Prior manufacturing or industrial experience Experience using measurement tools (OD tape, plug gauges, cutters, etc.) Basic computer skills Schedule 3rd Shift Tuesday - Saturday 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM Work Schedule Details 1st and 2nd shifts operate Monday through Friday 3rd shift begins Tuesday morning and runs through Saturday morning Overtime may be required and scheduled based on production needs Additional Expectations Successfully complete forklift certification if applicable to position(training provided) Demonstrate strong teamwork, accountability, and attention to detail Follow all company policies and plant rules consistently Why Work at Thermoid?
