Belmont Mills is a fifth generation, privately owned company serving the agricultural and environmental reclamation needs of the greater Ohio Valley for over 130 years. This position focuses on the blending of seed, feed and fertilizer. The position is a full time, hourly position. Hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday and 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM every other Saturday. Position is eligible for health benefits and 401K matching. Location for the position is at the Belmont Mills facilities in Belmont, Ohio (43718). Position reports directly to the General Manager.

Primary responsibilities include:

Receive and process raw materials according to prescribed standards, via conveyors, grain legs/elevator, hoses (for bulk ingredients), or dolly (manual or motorized) for bagged ingredients stacked on pallets and large drums containing liquids. Maintain a current record of formulations used to manufacture rations. Operate scales, grinders, horizontal mixers and other equipment which mix ingredients such as grains, protein sources, minerals, vitamins, and other additives to process formulated livestock rations according to prescribed standards. Fill, weigh, sew, stack and warehouse feed bags. Facilitate the loading of trucks and the delivery of feed. Establish and implement excellent routine quality assurance practices. Maintain records as required by Belmont Mills and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong communication skills, both oral and written. Candidate must have high school diploma or general education degree (GED) Candidate must have a minimum of one year of related experience. Candidate must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Candidate must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Candidate must have the ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Candidate must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job including walking, standing and lifting. Candidate must be able to operate small equipment such as fork lifts and wheel loaders.
