Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Injection Molding Operator is responsible for monitoring injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components. This role ensures machines run efficiently, parts meet quality standards, and production goals are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Operate injection molding machines according to standard operating procedures and work instructions. Set up machines for production runs, including loading materials and verifying parameters. Monitor machine performance to maintain product quality and minimize downtime.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect parts for quality, checking for defects and ensuring they meet specifications. Document inspection results and report quality issues to the Shift Supervisor. Follow quality control procedures to maintain high standards of production.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Identify and report basic equipment malfunctions and report issues requiring technical assistance. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning machines and checking fluid levels as needed.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe working environment. Participate in safety training sessions and report any safety concerns to the Shift Supervisor.
Production Efficiency:
Monitor production rates and strive to meet or exceed established targets. Work with team members to identify and implement process improvements. Maintain accurate production records, including downtime.
Team Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments. Assist in training new operators and sharing best practices. Contribute to a positive work environment by supporting team goals and initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or GED Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None Required Experience:
Basic manufacturing experience preferred
Computer Skills:
Basic Microsoft programs (i.e. Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)
Travel Requirements:
None Other Qualifications/Requirements or Skills:
Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes. Ability to read work orders and safety/quality standards. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to understand written and verbal English communication.
