Job Description

As a New Model Production Control (NMPC) Team Leader, you will play a key role in launching new Honda vehicle programs from concept through mass production. You will work closely with suppliers, customers, engineering, manufacturing, and management teams to ensure all materials, tooling, and processes are in place for a successful launch. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the center of new product development while building leadership experience with a world-class automotive supplier. Responsibilities Lead New Model Launch Activities Coordinate all production control activities for new vehicle programs. Develop and manage detailed launch plans to support successful production start-up. Monitor project milestones and proactively address risks to timing, cost, and quality. Manage Supplier Relationships Coordinate with suppliers to ensure tooling, components, and materials are available when needed. Issue and track supplier purchase orders. Monitor supplier performance and drive timely resolution of delivery or quality concerns. Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations for prototype and trial production activities. Support Production Readiness Track customer requirements and release schedules. Coordinate material planning and ordering activities to support prototype, trial, and mass production events. Maintain inventory accuracy and availability for new model programs. Troubleshoot supply chain and material issues to prevent production disruptions. Develop and Improve Processes Train team members and suppliers on NMPC processes and expectations. Support continuous improvement efforts and business system enhancements. Provide management with project updates, performance metrics, and launch status reports. Support compliance activities including ISO standards, corporate governance requirements, and internal controls. Leadership Responsibilities Provide guidance and support to NMPC associates. Foster collaboration among internal departments and external suppliers. Help develop processes that improve efficiency, communication, and overall launch performance.
