Job Description
Position Summary Perform general manual labor duties including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials; assist in a variety of functions with manual labor tasks, as needed; relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Job Duties Pull/transfer coils and sheets and complete appropriate packaging per the specifications of each order Operate forklift as required to support manufacturing Load and unload will-call customers, LTL vans and flatbed trucks with forklift (includes palleted coils & sheets, load customer equipment and maintain / log all shipments) Operate all equipment including the cut to length, core cutter, slitter, as needed Count, record, and report inventory as required including but not limited to sheet, coil, and accessories Report defective or substandard material, supplies or products Maintain facility, work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory Represent the Company professionally in all daily interactions with customers, freight personnel and other employees Assist with inventory cycle counting as required Able to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of the organization, including working overtime as required Comply with all safety rules and regulations Other duties as assigned Education A high school diploma or GED is required; trade school or military experience preferred Experience & Skills Tow motor experience preferred Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Must be able to lift or pull a minimum of 50 pounds Requires solid written and verbal communication skills Team oriented with effective communication skills preferred Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills are required Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision Excellent math skills and overall PC literacy are required Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task
