ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform a variety of tasks that require manual material handling and the use of hand tools, knives, machinery, and equipment while processing, packaging and shipping pork products

Physically demanding work that can require the use of some or all body parts and muscle groups

Good hand-eye coordination and upper extremity motor skills are essential for most job tasks Additional essential functions may be applicable to specific jobs Available to work scheduled hours, which may include mandatory overtime depending on production needs

QUALIFICATION

REQUIREMENTS Required:

Must be 18 years of age or older

Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least up to 50 pounds

Must wear all assigned personal protective equipment (PPE) for the position while working

Must be able to work in a hot and wet environment

Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and use some or all body parts and muscle groups in physically demanding work

Good hand-eye coordination and upper extremity motor skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical and work demands listed here represent those an employee should possess to successfully perform the job's essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Primarily an office environment with some need to work in the field.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is dependent on which environment you are in

The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
