Job Description

Production Worker
  • Coiling
  • Day Shift Using light production machinery, you will be taking reels of bulk plastic tubing and creating coils that get used in a variety of applications all over the world!
As a part of a larger team, you will also be providing routine support to a variety of other secondary production positions with the possibility for cross-training into other production areas.   • Friday 6:30 A.M.
  • 3:00 P.M. Starting wage is $15.81/hr.
  • $17.53/hr. with possible wage increases at three months, six months, twelve months, and annually thereafter

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and understand product specifications on work orders and apply the most appropriate production methods and techniques to produce items Perform basic production work using light-production machinery Assist other production areas and team members as necessary Perform routine quality checks to ensure quality standards are being met Record and maintain accurate job completion data
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain work area and production equipment in clean and orderly condition following prescribed safety rules and regulations Promote teamwork and a positive culture within the department and between all other departments and personnel Continuously search for improvement methods in your work and engage in our continuous improvement system Other duties as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
No prior manufacturing experience or training required Ability to: Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos Add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Calculate and convert units of measure including length, width, diameter and volume Apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions
Other Skills and Abilities:
Read ruler/tape measure to 1/32nd of inch Work independently and as a member of a group in a cooperative and collaborative manner Use or develop reliable systems and work habits to effectively prioritize and organize a multitude of tasks Ability to identify potential problems and independently seek out alternative solutions, including research, trial tests and communication of activities to others This position include the following benefits for full-time employees : Generous Employer Sponsored Medical and Dental Insurance 401K Plan with an Employer Match of 25% on the first 8% of your wages Profit Sharing Plan Up to three Wage Reviews in the First Year
