Job Description
Columbia Edgewater Country Club is one of Portland's premier, membership driven golf clubs. Hosting tournaments, special events, and multiple dining experiences for members to enjoy, 7 days a week. We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our team.
Store food properly and safely; Mark the date and item; Practice first in/outCompletes food temperature checks and standardsKeeps work area neat and clean at all timesUses proper tools for the tasks at handFollows procedures to avoid cross contaminationCleans and maintains equipment used in food preparationReports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisorPrepares food served using established recipes, production procedures, and systemsCheck in and receive deliveries as needed; Ensure accuracyCorrectly prepares all food served following standard recipes and plating designEnsures availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparationPlans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food are preservedAccurately portions food for servingMaintains daily production recordsUses proper PPE per task in accordance to written kitchen systems in place
Skills and ExperienceAcquire Food Handlers card prior to your start date/onboarding.
Able to uphold Columbia Edgewater Country Club's core values.
Willingness to regularly work during mornings, evenings and weekends.
Job RequirementsAble to stand for prolonged periods of timeAble to stoop, crawl, twist, turn, lift, kneel, climb ladders and stairsAble to regularly lift/carry 50 poundsAble to work in indoor and outdoor environment with sometimes slippery floorsAble to work in varying degrees of temperatures that is typical for a retail food industryFloor surface may vary from hard tiled floor or concrete to carpet or grassAbility to tolerate a high-level work pace that is typical for a retail food industryThe noise level in the work environment can be loudAble to work 8-10 hours on your feet

Line Cook Assisting the Food and Beverage director, Chef de Cuisine in the overall success of Kitchen, the Lead Line is tasked with upholding and enforcing the Kitchen specifications and guidelines, as well as training new staff. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrong knife skills, attention to detail, and efficiency are critical. Complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene and health standards.
