February 13, 2024 Summary Complete all tasks assigned in production operations to meet standards and expectations for safety, quality, production, and efficiency expectations. Participate as a cooperative and effective team player on MM Metals USA team. Report directly to the Shift Supervisor. Other cooperative duties may be required for the effective fulfillment of this function and the overall performance of MM Metals USA. This is 24/7, 365 operations with two 12 hour shifts a day. (3-2-2 schedule) Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  As a Plant Associate, you MUST abide by all safety standards, company regulations and work instructions. Duties may include but not limited to receiving materials, loading and unloading furnaces, monitor and control mixing, loading raw materials in hot molten metal, and plasma arc furnaces, and associated cooling and conveying of materials. Prep for finishing, packing, and shipping of finished goods. Other methods of material movement will include crane, forklift, and frontend loader. Education and/or Experience  High School Diploma or GED  Must have at least two years of experience in hot metal foundry industry, steel mill, or heavy industrial manufacturing environment  Forklift Experience  Ability to understand and follow operating and other procedure manuals. • Experienced and able to operate material moving systems, silo charging, mixing and discharging, conveyors, bucket elevators, forklift, crane, and front-end loaders a plus.

Compensation:
Starts at $20.00 / hourly. Commensurate on experience. MM Metals is the first and only manufacturing facility to produce low carbon ferrochrome in the USA in over 40 years. MM Metals exclusively, has been granted a permit to produce low carbon ferrochrome in Pennsylvania, USA. MM Metals sells high purity low carbon ferrochrome directly to steel mills, alloy producers, and other specialty metals industries. Low carbon ferrochrome is used in the production of stainless-steel alloys and high chromium alloys. Low carbon ferrochrome is designated a critical material by the US Department of Defense and is vital to the production of defense equipment. MM Metals operates from a new state of the art facility in Pennsylvania and over 80% of the hardware has been manufactured in the USA. The facility uses many locally sourced raw materials including scrap aluminum which is re- melted and cast into small granules which are then used as a reductant to produce low carbon ferrochrome from ore.
