Position Overview:
We are seeking a Production Team Member to join our team, where you will be cross-trained in Fabrication, Welding, and Assembly. In this role, you will operate a variety of equipment and machinery, all while adhering to the core principles of Lean Manufacturing, such as waste reduction, process standardization, and ongoing problem solving. You will contribute directly to ensuring high-quality parts, assemblies, and finished goods are produced efficiently and meet our safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities & Skills:
- Follow standardized work by adhering to detailed instructions and established procedures, while also contributing to the creation of standardized processes for consistent, repeatable results.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles including 3S, Kaizen, and continuous flow to enhance productivity and eliminate waste
- Participate in Daily Stand-Up Meetings to discuss production goals, current challenges, and opportunities for improvement
- Operate multiple machines in a fast-paced environment, leveraging One-Piece Flow and minimizing downtime
- Read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints with precise dimensions
- Utilize precision measurement tools (calipers, tape measures, protractors) to maintain high quality standards
- Gather materials and equipment as per Kanban systems to ensure just-in-time inventory and smooth production flow
- Complete daily production reporting, including part quantities, production times, and inventories
- Assemble parts into assemblies while ensuring strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Execute Preventative Maintenance schedules to avoid equipment downtime and maintain optimal machine performance
- Identify root causes of issues using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement error-proof corrective solutions
- Communicate and collaborate with team members to propose solutions, continuously improving workflow and processes
- Demonstrate dependability, coachability, and respect for others in a collaborative, high-performance team
- Safely lift up to 60 lbs.
