Position Summary:
We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Production Workers to support operations within a manufacturing or pilot production environment. This role is responsible for performing a variety of production, assembly, material handling, inspection, and equipment support tasks in accordance with established work instructions, safety requirements, and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee Hegla Galatic fully automated glass cutting equipment to cut glass lites to sizes for production in IGUs and windows Complete manual glass separation of discrete glass sheets from mother sheet Load glass carts and stage for sequencing in production Inspect incoming glass and completed IGUs for defects Operate lift assist equipment to pick up IGUs (?50 lbs) off the end of the production line and place onto stationary A-Frame or carts Work closely with Operations Supervisors and Engineering to detect glass defects and / or equipment and process challenges Build crates to store IGUs in for shipping; stage completed parts for freight pick up Prepare finished product for shipment per packaging instructions Conduct operator maintenance and cleanliness of the production equipment
Qualifications:
HS diploma or GED required / Technology AAS degree is desired Prior experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse, or other industrial environments Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Tool Usage and Lifting Requirement:
Typical hand tools, would be used to adjust / modify equipment on the line. Very little usage but knowledge of tools is a must. The most unique tooling that this position would be using is when picking up large pieces of flat glass, operators will use these suction cups to move the glass. Sometimes with a 2nd operator for a two-person lift. Job analysis would be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds - not in heavy volume or repetition but at times may be required to lift. #TB_OTH #ZR Why TalentBurst?
