Job Title:
Production Associate Job Description The Production Associate packages products in a warehouse environment while strictly following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), batch requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role focuses on accurately measuring ingredients, safely operating equipment, and maintaining a clean, efficient, and compliant production flow. Responsibilities Package products in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), batch requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Accurately measure ingredients using scales and record any substitutions, over-pours, or adjustments, obtaining approval from the department leader when required. Package approved batches and label all finished product containers clearly and correctly. Operate sit-down forklifts and other production equipment that is in proper working condition, reporting and identifying any maintenance issues or gaps. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures. Handle various chemicals safely by understanding the associated hazards and following proper handling and storage protocols. Ensure proper sanitation standards are consistently followed throughout the production process. Produce and package batches in a timely and efficient manner to meet production goals and schedules. Maintain smooth production flow by coordinating ingredient requirements with the warehouse and ensuring materials are available when needed. Regularly check and monitor the various items, tools, and equipment used in production processes to ensure they are ready for use. Work overtime as needed to support production demands and maintain operational efficiency. Essential Skills Experience in food manufacturing or a similar production environment. Ability to safely and routinely lift up to 55 pounds. Knowledge of and ability to follow food plant current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Sit-down forklift operating experience. Strong attention to detail when measuring ingredients and recording production data. Reliability and punctuality, with a consistent record of on-time attendance. Willingness and ability to work overtime when required. Commitment to following safety regulations, sanitation standards, and chemical handling procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Food or pharmaceutical plant experience is a plus. Forklift license is a plus. No formal educational qualifications are required for this role. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
