Job Title:
Production Line Associate Job Description Join a high-volume food production team and support the end-to-end process of making cakes on a fast-paced production line. You will perform a variety of rotating tasks, from preparing pans and mixing ingredients to handling finished products, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness. Responsibilities Perform a variety of tasks on the cake production line, following established procedures and safety guidelines. Mix ingredients accurately according to provided recipes and instructions. Weigh ingredients precisely to ensure consistency and product quality. Place cardboard inserts into bake pans to prepare them for crust and batter. Apply oil to pans by wiping them thoroughly to prevent sticking and ensure proper baking. Fill pans with crust and ensure the correct amount is used for each product. Level crust in pans to achieve an even base for cake batter. Fill pans with cake batter, following portion and filling guidelines. Level cake batter in pans to ensure even baking and consistent product appearance. Remove finished cakes from pans carefully to avoid damage and maintain product quality. Restock ingredients, materials, and supplies for each role on the line to keep production running smoothly. Perform hand assembly, packing, and packaging of finished products as needed. Label products correctly and perform visual inspections to confirm quality and accuracy. Operate production and packaging machinery as trained and follow all safety protocols. Stack and organize packaged products for storage or shipment. Rotate through multiple positions on the production line and adapt to changing tasks and priorities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with food production standards. Stand for the entire shift and perform repetitive motions while maintaining focus and attention to detail. Essential Skills Ability to work in a fast-paced production or assembly line environment. Comfort performing repetitive tasks such as picking, hand assembly, packing, and stacking. Basic ability to weigh and mix ingredients accurately by following instructions. Strong attention to detail for visual inspection, labeling, and quality checks. Capability to operate basic production and packaging machinery after training. Reliability and consistency in following food safety and hygiene procedures. Physical ability to stand for the entire shift and perform manual tasks safely. Entry-level friendly role with no prior experience required. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general labor, general production, or food manufacturing is helpful but not required. Experience with packaging, production line work, or assembly line work is an asset. Familiarity with machine operation in a manufacturing or packaging environment is beneficial. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and rotate through multiple positions as needed. Willingness to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures. Why Work Here? The facility operates under regulated food production conditions, emphasizing cleanliness, hygiene, and adherence to safety protocols. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Le Center, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
