center. Because we are opening a new location, we operate with a fast-paced "all hands on deck" start-up mentality. We are looking for an energetic, versatile, and hands-on professional to build our business from the ground up as a founding team member. The Reality of the

Role:

This is not a remote, work-from-home, or strictly sit-at-a-desk design position. This is an active, multi-disciplinary role split across daily responsibilities: 60%

Sign Production:

Physically making signs, weeding vinyl, operating large-format laminators and printers, and mounting graphics. 40%

Graphic Design:

Preparing client files for production and creating visual layouts.

Physical Installations:

Assisting with on-site installations (handling basic hand tools, working on ladders, and occasional outdoor work).

Start-Up Drive:

When the design queue is quiet, you will proactively organize the shop floor, master equipment, create showroom samples, or support customers. Key Responsibilities Design for

Production:

Create computer-generated graphics, set cut paths, establish proper bleeds, match Pantone colors, and prepare prepress files.

Sign Production:

Weed, tape, cut, and apply vinyl; laminate and mount prints to various rigid substrates.

Installation Support:

Assist on-site with applying window graphics, mounting wall signs, and managing basic hardware setups.

Customer & Shop Support:

Greet walk-in customers, answer phone calls, consult on projects, and keep the production area clean and organized.

Quality Control:

Inspect print output and finished assemblies for accuracy, material correctness, and clean finishing before delivery.

Qualifications Experience:

1-2 years of graphic design experience (sign shop, quick-print, or print shop experience is a major plus).

Software:

Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (Photoshop and InDesign are a plus).

Hands-on Skills:

Comfort working with hand tools, utility knives, rulers, and precision cutting tools.

Mindset:

Proactive self-starter who takes initiative during downtime and thrives in a fast-changing environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and work on step-stools or step-ladders.

Education:
