Production Associate

Overview The Production Associate - Cold Pack is responsible for performing various tasks involved in the preparation, assembly, packaging, and handling of refrigerated food products in a cold production environment. This position ensures product quality, food safety, and production efficiency while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and assist with cold pack production equipment and packaging lines. Assemble, portion, label, and package food products according to production specifications. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety guidelines. Inspect products for quality, appearance, proper labeling, and packaging integrity. Accurately record production data, lot codes, and required documentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas in accordance with sanitation standards. Adhere to all food safety, HACCP, allergen control, and quality assurance requirements. Safely handle raw and finished refrigerated food products. Assist with changeovers, line setup, and minor equipment adjustments as directed. Communicate production issues, equipment concerns, or food safety risks to supervisors immediately. Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Experience Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with assembly lines and production operations Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn new equipment and processes quickly Ability to stand for extended periods, lift objects safely, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently Work Environment Work is performed in a refrigerated cold pack environment (typically 34°F-45°F). Frequent standing for extended periods of time. Repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions. Regular lifting of up to 40 pounds; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance. Exposure to food production equipment and cleaning chemicals. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior food manufacturing or production experience preferred but not required. Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English or Spanish Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality. Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
