Job Description

Role and Essential Functions:
Working in a process that involves critical calculations, setting up a semi-automated equipment and industrial machinery involving roll installation, blade set-up and the production operation for slitting rolls of mesh to very precise width dimensions as the key customer characteristics in the medical and automotive industries. This is a key position supporting other team members in the production of parts for the Filtration line. This job must be done by meeting customer orders due dates while maintaining a high degree of quality. Operate the heat and ultrasonic slitters in the clean and industrial room for Filtration customer orders Promotes a safe working environment by ensuring that all the slitters equipment is in safe and working order Identify what type of mesh roll goods are required as well as what dimensions and tolerances to produce using information contained on production orders Set-up the slitter machines for production based on technical data sheets by modifying various machine settings Perform pre-production, in-process, and final quality checks to ensure products meet customer dimensional specifications, meet structural and visual quality standards, and are free of defects and contamination Reports in a timely manner issues with the machines and participates in the troubleshooting of machine operation problems Complete production paperwork to accurately declare calculated product output and material/component usage Package final products according to both customer requirements and reasonable packaging standards and stage for warehouse Actively participates in and maintains 5S discipline and comfortable working in a clean room environment Work as a team to meet customer due dates, internal deadlines and support continuous work flow through the process Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associates Degree in Technical field preferred 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Intermediate Mathematical Skills required Ability to read and write English Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
