Job Description

First Cut Design & Fabrication is looking for an organized, proactive team player to support our shop operations, production scheduling, and office administration. This is a great fit for someone who's a natural self-starter — comfortable juggling multiple priorities, quick to pick up new systems, and not afraid to ask questions or figure things out along the way. There's real room to grow here as you learn the business and take on more responsibility. What You'll Do Administrative Support Enter timecards for shop employees, coding hours to the correct jobs using supervisor-provided time tracking sheets Manage new hire onboarding — coordinate checklists, ensure Day 1 materials are ready, and schedule drug tests and other pre-employment requirements Plan and help execute company events (holiday party, cookouts, the annual Carowinds trip) as directed by management Serve as point of contact for on-site vendors (vending, property and building maintenance, IT services) Enter and code payables, and review/route production and supply expenses (e.g., Pfleet, Amazon) Maintain personnel and equipment certification logs Production Support Help maintain the active project list, keeping status and upcoming production dates current Set up new jobs across all necessary systems Support the development and upkeep of project schedules — track progress, flag potential delays, and help propose solutions to keep jobs on track Complete job loadout paperwork Coordinate subcontractor scheduling in line with production needs, including: Obtaining freight quotes and scheduling large outbound freight shipments, and reviewing/approving freight bills and expenses Monitor incoming materials, follow up with vendors on delays, and keep lead-time changes updated in the system with a weekly update to the Production Manager Help schedule and prep for project kickoff meetings, including pulling together materials and drawing printouts Order Processing Enter resale and inventory sales data, including POs and Sales Orders, and notify accounting once orders are ready for billing Reporting Collect shop paint reports and log data into the master annual spreadsheet What We're Looking For A self-starter who takes initiative and doesn't need everything spelled out Someone who picks up new tools and processes quickly Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple moving parts at once Clear communicator who works well with shop, production, and management team Prior experience with ERP/accounting systems (like Acumatica) is a plus, but not required.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
