Coating Production Assistant About the Role We are launching a brand-new, manufacturing plant and looking for motivated Coating Assistants to join our founding team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our brand-new hot melt calender line, operating advanced machinery to coat, laminate, and process high-quality materials. If you are eager to learn, work well with cutting-edge technology, and want to help build a manufacturing culture from the ground up, we want to hear from you!
What You Will Do Process Controls:
Monitor temperature gauges, pressure settings, and line speeds to ensure the hot melt adhesive applies perfectly.
Material Handling:
Load raw materials (web substrates, polymers, adhesives) onto the line and thread them through the rollers.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect finished products for defects, measuring thickness and bond strength to meet strict quality standards.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and assist operator to make minor mechanical or process adjustments to minimize downtime.
Safety & Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, safe workstation and perform basic preventative maintenance on the calender rolls and equipment.
What We Are Looking For Experience:
1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, extrusion, web handling, laminating, or calender operations is preferred, but we will train the right candidate.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail, basic math skills for measurements, and a commitment to safety.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
