Job Title:

General Production Worker Job Description The General Production Worker will be responsible for performing basic general labor duties around the shop, with a primary focus on cleaning metal. Tasks include sweeping, wiping dried paint off steel, and cleaning steel from burrs left by fabricators. Responsibilities Perform general labor duties around the shop. Clean metal surfaces, including removing dried paint from steel. Remove burrs from steel fabricated by fabricators. Maintain cleanliness of the shop area through sweeping and other cleaning tasks. Essential Skills Experience as a laborer in a construction or steel environment preferred. Ability to work in a dirty environment. One year of general laborer experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is non-climate controlled, meaning it can be extremely hot in the summer and extremely cold in the winter. Shifts run from 6:00 AM to 7:15 PM, Friday through Sunday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
