Job Description
Job Title:
Production Associate Job Description Join a dynamic manufacturing team where you will play a key role in the glass production process. As a Production Associate, you will be responsible for visually inspecting parts, conducting quality checks, loading and unloading glass on conveyor systems, and preparing products for shipment. You will also collaborate with the maintenance team to perform minor machine adjustments when necessary. Responsibilities Visually inspect parts and conduct quality checks. Load and unload glass on various conveyor systems. Move racks or products to prepare for shipment. Band racks of products according to customer specifications. Pack products for shipment. Prepare minor adjustments to machines and work with the maintenance team in case of breakdowns. Essential Skills Experience in production and assembly. Competency in machine operation. Ability to perform visual inspections. Proficiency in packaging and general labor tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in automotive assembly. Previous experience as a production worker or machine operator. Why Work Here? You will receive a bonus matching the hours worked each week and four weeks of severance pay equivalent to a 40-hour work week if you complete 90 days. Work Environment You will work in a clean, safe, plant production environment that is non-climate controlled, meaning it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Safety is a priority, with training provided and safety equipment such as high-visibility vests, ear protection, and eye protection supplied by the company. Personal safety shoes are required and must be leather. Attendance is crucial, as employees can only accrue three attendance points in the first 90 days. The plant will operate until October/November, with openings primarily on the night shift and limited openings on the day and second shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vonore, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.98 - $19.48/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
