Summary The Electrical Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and controls that support the facility's operations. This role ensures reliable power distribution, compliance with safety and environmental standards, and minimal downtime for production, particularly within an IPA (isopropyl alcohol) distillation environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor facility electrical systems, including switchgear, MCCs, transformers, UPS systems, and control panels.
• Ensure proper functioning of electrical supply to distillation, packaging, and storage areas.
• Maintain operational logs and update maintenance records.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Diagnose faults in motors, drives, PLCs, and electrical circuits; make necessary repairs or coordinate with vendors.
• Inspect wiring, breakers, grounding systems, and lighting for compliance and safety.
• Follow NFPA 70E, OSHA, NEC, and site-specific electrical safety protocols.
• Participate in lockout/tagout (LOTO) and hot work permitting procedures.
• Support facility compliance with EPA and local environmental standards for hazardous locations (Class I, Division I/II).
• Work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment and electrical systems.
• Respond promptly to electrical failures or power disruptions to minimize production downtime.
• Support plant operations during outages, startup, and shutdown activities. Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training in electrical systems preferred.
• 0-1+ years' experience as an industrial electrician, electrical operator, or related role in a manufacturing, chemical, or refinery environment.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in both AC and DC systems.
• Ability to work in hazardous locations with flammable products (training provided).
• Bilingual English / Korean Preferred Qualifications
• Journeyman Electrician License (Texas) or higher.
• Prior experience in chemical manufacturing, distillation, or petroleum/IPA processing.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Knowledge of industrial controls, PLCs, and instrumentation basics.

• Combination of indoor and outdoor work in varying temperatures.
• Exposure to chemical odors, vapors, and potentially hazardous materials (PPE provided).
• Rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime may be required to support continuous operations.
