Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hairpin Bender to join our manufacturing team. The Hair Pin Bender is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining hair pin bending machines used in the production of heat exchanger coils. This position ensures all bent tubes meet precise engineering specifications and quality standards. The role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety and productivity goals. Key Responsibilities Operate the hair pin bending machine to bend copper or aluminum tubes according to production drawings and specifications. Inspect tubing for correct bend angles, dimensions, and quality throughout production runs. Load raw tubing material into the machine and unload finished hair pins safely and efficiently. Monitor machine operations, adjust settings as necessary to maintain product quality and minimize waste. Perform daily checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance on bending equipment. Report equipment malfunctions or production issues promptly to the supervisor or maintenance team. Complete production logs, quality forms, and other required documentation accurately. Follow all plant safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Assist with material handling and staging of coils for the next phase of assembly. Support continuous improvement efforts in quality, safety, and productivity. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience operating automated or semi-automated manufacturing machinery preferred. Mechanical aptitude and ability to read production blueprints or technical drawings. Basic math and measurement skills. Strong attention to detail and quality orientation. Ability to stand, lift, and move materials throughout the shift (up to 50 lbs.).
