Full Job Description Job Purpose:
The Production Team Lead at Goodwill Industries of Dallas Inc will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the production team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output. This role is integral to supporting the organization's mission of providing job training, employment placement services, and other community-based programs for individuals facing barriers to employment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the production team, ensuring all team members are aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Monitor production processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all team members. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production schedules and meet deadlines. Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to foster professional growth and development. Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain continuous production. Analyze production data and prepare reports for management review. Address and resolve any operational issues in a timely manner to minimize disruptions. Support the organization's charitable mission by promoting a culture of inclusivity and community service.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree in business management or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment. At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team lead role, preferably within a not-for-profit organization. Experience in process improvement and implementing production efficiencies is highly desirable.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members, management, and other stakeholders. Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to analyze production data and generate reports to support decision-making processes. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving production issues. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Demonstrated commitment to the organization's mission and values, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
