DISTINGUISHING FEATURES & JOB DUTIES

Responsibilities for press brake operator: Operate press brake Bend steel parts ranging from 18-gauge to 1/2-inch steel Change press brake tooling/dies Calibrate and program adjustments to meet bend specifications Manually set and operate press brake as required (machine operation is mostly automated) Restock materials and communicate damage or incorrect materials to management Measure final product precisely to ensure uniformity Collaborate with QA to create Assembly documentation, procedures, and work instructions Maintain a safe work environment for self and others when operating equipment and performing job responsibilities

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is moderate. PPE (safety glasses/ear plugs) are required to be worn at all times in shop.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods at a time.

EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENT

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent 3+ years' operating press experience preferred, not required Ability to read tape measure
