The Language Hub in the Department of Languages and Cultures is seeking highly motivated self-starters with experience in audiovisual production. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Make sure to include all required documents listed below, as i ncomplete applications will not be considered. Assist the Language Hub manager in developing, executing, promoting, and maintaining various projects to enhance and carry out the Hub's vision and mission. Assist with daily operations, which may include the following: assisting students, faculty, and tutors; opening/closing; answering phone/email; organizing learning materials; scheduling; light cleaning and general upkeep. Provide training, orientation, and assistance to students and faculty in creating a variety of audiovisual projects. Create, maintain, and organize tutorial guides, reports, promotional and marketing materials. Assist in hosting events in the Language Hub. Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager. Must be a current UVU student registered for a minimum of 6.0 credits. Available to work 15-20 hours per week, during normal business hours (9:00 am - 5:00 pm) and some evening hours, to be determined. Preferred Qualifications Experience with content creation, social media management, and podcasting. Native or near-native proficiency in ASL, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, or other language. General understanding of second-language acquisition Experience in event planning.
