Job Title:
Manual PrePack Production Associate Job Description This role focuses on manual pre-pack operations within a fast-paced, high-quality production environment. You will work with small LEGO bricks and associated parts, manually placing pieces into bags at a dedicated station and assembling boxes on an assembly line. The position involves operating and supporting production line activities, maintaining equipment and work areas, and meeting precise performance and quality standards for a globally recognized toy brand. Responsibilities Manually place small LEGO bricks and associated parts into bags, ensuring the correct pieces are dropped into packaging at your station. Assemble boxes, including following instructions, handling parts, and constructing the physical box as part of an assembly line process. Work shoulder-to-shoulder with peers on an assembly line, rotating through positions while maintaining a steady, accurate flow of production. Stand or sit for extended periods during 12-hour shifts (typically 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.), rotating through line responsibilities such as standing, sitting, and end-of-line palletizing. Keep production machines in good condition by supporting basic cleaning and care, and promptly report any issues or detected failures. Maintain a tidy, organized, and clean work area in accordance with established standards such as TPM and 5S. Perform each position on the assigned production line as trained, including manual pre-pack, quality checks, and end-of-line material handling. Ensure accurate and timely production reporting for the assigned line, following performance measures that are tracked consistently. Meet standard hourly production targets, maintaining a constant flow of boxes with minimal downtime and high efficiency. Contribute to continuous line flow by avoiding unplanned downtime and responding quickly to changes in production requirements. Ensure all quality requirements are met, reporting any issues, defects, or failures in accordance with LEGO Group quality standards. Support changeovers, quality inspections, and machine cleaning to keep the line running smoothly and safely. Participate in line operation reporting, including activities such as TPM, 5S, quality assurance documentation, and line release audits. Collaborate with peers to maintain excellent communication and teamwork, following established values and behaviors. Handle full boxes and materials at the end of the line, including lifting boxes up to 50 lbs and palletizing materials as needed. Work within a structured production schedule, including a 3-2-2-3 type of rotation, and adhere to attendance and performance expectations. Operate in an environment where performance is measured and monitored, consistently meeting productivity and quality benchmarks. Follow all facility rules and guidelines regarding personal belongings, dress code, and safety to maintain product integrity and a secure work environment. Essential Skills 1-2 years of experience in production or manufacturing, or in a fast-moving production-related industry such as fast food or similar environments where performance is measured. Experience working on an assembly line performing repetitive tasks with small parts handling and manual dexterity. Prior experience standing for 8-12 hour shifts, including continuous standing and walking in a production or similar environment. Ability to perform quality checks and follow established quality standards consistently. Experience with general production activities such as assembly, loading, inventory, material handling, and packing orders. Capability to lift up to 50 lbs when loading full boxes onto pallets and to lift product up to 33 lbs consistently throughout the shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in packaging, production, and operating or supporting production equipment. Familiarity with quality inspection processes and adherence to strict quality standards. Experience with labeling, warehouse packing, and packing orders in a structured production environment. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around automated equipment, with willingness to learn more automated processes after conversion. Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures accurately and consistently. Comfort working with very small parts where fine motor skills and dexterity are important. Willingness to work a 3-2-2-3 type of schedule and 12-hour shifts (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) as required. Ability to work without unexplained large gaps in employment history, demonstrating consistent workforce participation. Openness to performance-based evaluation, including timed production tasks and clear productivity goals. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colonial Heights, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.82 - $19.82/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
