Job Description:
Description Job Summary Support the Production team members so they can safely build quality products and execute the drawing details within the hours established by VFP. Have practical problem solving and continuous improvement to assigned work. Work on assigned tasks to improve quality, runtime, and throughput of prefabricated products. Ensure work is performed in compliance with VFP standards and practices. Good organizational and housekeeping skills, superior attention to detail and communication skills are essential. Goal-oriented production and safety focused with the ability to work and support team members in a fast-paced environment. Essential Job Functions Prepare area for start-up. Excellent time management Produce product to VFP Engineering supplied drawings. Work to development pre-fabrication needs to help production run more efficiently. Work to be done in a timely manner to help meet production needs and deadlines. Update material needs in their designated area for assigned tasks. Good communication with supervisors and foremen. Ensure safety rules are followed and a safe work environment is maintained. Ensure housekeeping is completed daily. Knowledge of basic hand and power tool usage and care. Flexible working schedule to help meet production schedules and shipping deadlines. Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Knowledge of basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Ability to read blueprints and interpret them to supervision when faced with issues. Ability to solve problems in a variety of standardized situations. Ability to work in an ever-changing work environment. Understanding of the customer's expectations for the product. Perform assigned work tasks in a safe and timely manner. Ability to work in a team environment, motivate and assist team members High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 1 year in production related fields .
