FlexTrades is hiring experienced Brake Press Operators for nationwide project-based assignments supporting sheet metal fabrication and production operations. This role is designed for operators who can independently set up and run press brake equipment, perform frequent tooling changes and produce formed sheet metal components to blueprint specifications and tight tolerances. Position Overview The Brake Press Operator will set up, change over and operate Amada HRB press brake machines while supporting a high mix of part numbers and production requirements. This position requires strong blueprint-reading skills, experience with punch and die changes and the ability to make machine adjustments necessary to maintain part quality throughout the production process. Responsibilities Set up, change over and operate Amada HRB press brake machines Perform punch and die changes for multiple part runs throughout the shift Read and interpret blueprints Work with standard and metric measurements Adjust machine program variables to ensure parts meet specifications Form galvanized steel sheet metal components Form mild steel sheet metal components Inspect completed parts against print requirements and tolerances Maintain quality standards throughout the production process Support a high mix of part numbers and frequent machine changeovers Learn and operate spot welding equipment as needed Operate a forklift to move materials when required Qualifications Experience setting up and operating press brake equipment Experience performing press brake changeovers Experience completing punch and die changes Ability to read and interpret blueprints Experience working with sheet metal components Ability to inspect finished parts using print specifications Experience working to tight dimensional and angular tolerances Ability to work with standard and metric measurements Manufacturing experience in a production environment Spot welding experience or willingness to learn Preferred Qualifications Forklift experience About FlexTrades FlexTrades is a manufacturing workforce solutions company that deploys skilled tradespeople and technical specialists to worksites across the United States.
