Production Operator (Louisa, VA) Tetra Pak Tubex Inc. is looking for an Operator to be based out of our Louisa, VA factory. This position performs all tasks involved in the production of straws by following standard work methods to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Job Summary Acquire the skills to maintain the machines as per autonomous maintenance (AM) and produce straws as per given methods that consider World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methods and quality parameters.You will:
Follow production safety rules Work according to existing procedures/ Standards Execute basic Autonomous Maintenance (AM) operations and Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication (CIL) Define anomalies and put tags Conduct basic/elementary quality tests Create One Point Lessons (OPLs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Measurables:
Efficiently performs routine production tasks as per established procedures Good quality output as per established norm Learn World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and autonomous maintenance (AM) skills to build sustainable performance in future What You Will Do As an Operator your key responsibilities will be: Test products for quality assurance. Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices or products by identifying root cause. Collect and weigh waste in correctly labelled barrels or other containers. Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity. Prepare and assemble materials, change film, attach labels to products Fill out digital forms. Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes and place on designated pallets. Write improvement tags for any operational, mechanical, safety, or environmental anomaly. Maintain a clean and safe work area. This role will be for first shift, 5 AM - 3 PM (10 hours) from Monday through Thursday, or second shift, 2:30 PM - 12:30 AM (10 hours) from Monday through Thursday. Who You Are We believe you have: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred Dependable and reliable Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to read, understand and comply with work directions, training manuals, safety rules, and standard operating procedures.
