Job Description

Lynchburg Mill is seeking an hourly Entry-Level Production Laborer to train and learn various production positions within the paper mill. The ideal candidate is a safety minded individual who is willing to learn. The candidate needs to a can do attitude is committed to accomplish results in a team-based environment.
The Role:
The position reports to the on-shift Production Supervisor, but at times may report to other managers within the mill.

The production laborer is expected to follow all plant safety rules and procedures. This is a shift-based position, and employees are expected to work all shifts as scheduled, including weekends and holidays. Overtime is offered, planned, and unplanned, and employees will be expected to work overtime without notice on rare occasions. In this role the individual will safely performing a wide range of tasks that include + Operating forklifts + Stacking/moving materials, finishing rolls, material set-up, and + Maintaining a clean/organized workspace + Various other tasks as assigned + Ability to operate different types of manufacturing equipment, including forklifts + Ability to follow specific work instruction + Ability to read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills. + Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations + Ability to lift, push, pull, carry 50 lbs., navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift. + Working knowledge of using keyboards, MS Office, comfortable understanding how to navigate on a PC, and logging into a PC + Ability to work required daily schedule, including weekends and holidays. Provided is the local pay range for this position, which is $21.43 to $31.48 per hour, plus a shift differential of $0.80/hr. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments and an annual vacation payout/bonus (subject to change in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreement guidelines). The targeted bonus amount after one year of employment can be up to 4% of gross earnings. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized including average overtime (46 hrs/week
  • 52wks)) for this position, is $55,300.00 to $80,300.00. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and are not a guarantee
