POSITION SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Team Leader is responsible for supervising, scheduling, and guiding the shift production operation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded as management determines necessary. Schedule and assign work to production personnel, to support production schedule and priorities. Make recommendations on hire, discipline and promotion of subordinates. Prepare annual written performance reviews and establish annual objectives consistent with the overall business strategy. Focus and emphasis on materials, labor and overhead controls Ensure that all personnel are fully trained in the process and procedures of assigned machinery and equipment. Ensure that all safety devices are in place before equipment is released to operators to run. Train, supervise and monitor the operator?s procedures and activities to ensure efficient operations and maintenance of quality standards. Supply stock/supplies to the production areas as required. Issuing, accountability, and consolidation of materials. Maintain the required shift reports to include machine counts and rejection rates. Ensure the maintenance of general housekeeping for the shift and maintain a constant alert for hazardous conditions on the floor. Perform sample approval before production can start. Following specifications, determine the appropriate methods of press operation. May operate several presses consecutively. Perform new job or mold sampling when necessary, working with engineering. Strong IQMS involvement. Perform other duties as assigned.
