Job Description

Join our team and help turn customer orders into successful, on-time production! We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Fabrication Router to join our team. In this role, you'll work closely with our Purchasing, Estimating, Scheduling, and Production teams to make sure jobs are entered accurately, routed efficiently, and ready for the shop floor. This is a great opportunity for someone with metal fabrication or manufacturing experience who enjoys working with blueprints, coordinating details, solving problems, and keeping multiple jobs moving forward. What You'll Do As a Fabrication Router, you will play an important role in preparing jobs for production and making sure our teams have the information and materials they need to get the job done right. Job Entry & Routing Work closely with Purchasing and Estimating to enter and route upcoming jobs according to customer requirements and available shop capacity. Review customer orders to verify part numbers, revisions, quantities, and purchase order information are accurate. Determine the appropriate workflow, routing, and materials based on customer requirements and blueprints. Assist with quote and job entry as needed. Maintain accurate data entry and update job information when necessary. Production Documentation Prepare travelers, saw cut lists, prints, and other production documentation for in-house work. Ensure the correct prints and information are provided to each work center. Review jobs carefully to make sure production has the information needed to complete the work accurately and efficiently. Outside Processing & Purchasing Identify all outsourced operations and services required for each job. Verify vendor quotes are current and accurately reflect the required services or materials. Review material quotes for correct material specifications, pricing, and lead times. Help ensure materials and outside services are available when needed to keep jobs on schedule. Complete RFQ sheets with accurate information and attach the appropriate quotes and prints. Additional Responsibilities Cross-train with the Scheduling team to provide coverage during vacations and absences. Learn and utilize JobBOSS Global Scheduling functions. Assist with scheduling and production coordination as needed. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
What We're Looking For Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and understand blueprints . Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook . Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred:
Previous experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, machining, or a related field . Experience with JobBOSS or similar manufacturing/job management software. Experience with production routing, estimating, purchasing, or scheduling.
Expected hours:
No less than 40.0 per week
