Do you have a sharp eye for detail and a passion for accuracy? Are you someone who takes pride in ensuring every product meets exact standards? We're looking for a Weight Checker at our Jefferson facility to help ensure every Palermo's pizza meets target weights and visual standards. In this critical role, you'll support production and quality teams to keep our products consistent, safe, and delicious — just the way our customers expect them. Perform frequent visual product reviews to ensure proper topping distribution and coverage. Take corrective action when product does not meet photo standards or target weights. Ensure photo standards are accurate, available, and displayed for each changeover. Confirm employees are trained on visual quality requirements (crust, sauce, cheese, toppings). Communicate quality issues with Line Leads, Ingredient Controllers, Area Leads, Supervisors, and Quality Auditors. Oversee and verify topping and product weights in both processing and packaging areas. Conduct metal detection checks, code date reviews, and inkjet print verification. Audit documentation to confirm all forms (Red Zone, Pack Tally, Temperature, Pizza Weight, Hourly Checks, etc.) are complete and accurate. Audit changeovers to ensure proper procedures are followed. Apply understanding of HACCP principles and Palermo's Critical Control Point (CCP) procedures. Ensure WIP product and totes are properly identified, stacked, and labeled. Support or back up the Line Lead when needed, including: Conducting training, Machine setup/adjustments, Monitoring Red Zone and sending alerts, Assisting with Visual Performance Boards Maintain equipment functionality (iPad, scales, carts, Bluetooth accessories, etc.). What You Bring Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Consistent and reliable attendance. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to train others on use of scales and visual standards. Basic computer and math skills. Understanding of food safety and HACCP principles preferred.
