Heritage Tile seeks a Production Designer to join our creative team in Verona, WI. As a Production Designer, your role will be to interpret a client's vision for a given space and translate it into presentation and shop drawings relied on by our production team. You will break down mosaic designs into modules based on the customer's repeating and/or non-repeating patterns, and support the sales team in understanding what's needed to accurately price a project.
Your Responsibilities:
Manage project activities from initial design concepts through production and fulfillment Develop Adobe Illustrator drawings of interiors to demonstrate tile design and application Utilize 3D printing resources to create and render production tools and product prototypes Collaborate with, and inform where necessary, homeowners, contractors, architects, and interior designers on design details and material constraints Work with internal teams such as Marketing, Manufacturing, Customer Support, and Operations to facilitate project fulfillment and inform process improvements Manage and prioritize workflow based on customer need and available resources Support client and installer inquiries as they relate to design and production questions Collaborate on new product rollout by understanding its relation to existing processes Develop strong familiarity with Heritage Tile's product offering to support accurate design and drafting work We Value Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator Strong attention to detail, small errors here can mean wasted material or a reworked production run Strong communication skills, comfortable working directly with clients, installers, and internal teams Proficiency with CAD for project quantifying and scale drawings, a plus Familiarity with SketchUp for 3D visualization, a plus Experience in a production, manufacturing, or fabrication-adjacent design role Consideration for how a design choice will play out downstream in production and installation Technical resourcefulness and problem-solving A collaborative approach to process improvement Excellent organizational habits
Pay:
$58,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
